Our Vision
Como Lions Heart envisions a Lake Como community where youth, families, and seniors are connected and supported through diverse, community-based programs. Our goal is to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation, personal growth, and collaboration among all residents. We aim to enhance the quality of life for everyone by providing accessible resources and opportunities that strengthen relationships and cultivate a sense of belonging.
To our Supporters, Donors, Families, and Friends
Thank you for supporting Como Lions Heart. Because of your generosity, lives were touched across the Como community in 2025. Your support helped children discover the joy of reading through monthly Reading Nights, where they met authors and took home books of their own.
It gave 120 youths a safe, enriching summer at day camp with weekly field trips and allowed 130 youth to learn teamwork and leadership through football and cheerleading.
It allowed 15 youths to take a six-week etiquette class ending with a dress-up dinner at a local restaurant. Our Friday Night Lights program gives 50-80 youth an opportunity to be a part of an organized program while receiving a hot meal.
Because of you, hundreds of families gathered at community events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon, Women’s Conference, Youth Conference, Halloween Carnival, Cancer Walk, and the Annual Jingle & Mingle Christmas Program – creating safe spaces filled with joy.
Your gifts also provided 325 students with backpacks and school supplies, supported teachers with classroom resources, and helped 32 college freshmen begin their college journey with dorm room supplies and laptops.
In addition, 300-500 families each month received food, seniors felt valued through outings and grocery support, families received emergency assistance during times of crisis, and 1500 children experienced the joy of Christmas.
Every dollar you gave was turned into real help, real hope, and real opportunity for our neighbors.
As we look ahead, the needs in our community remain. Your continued support helps ensure this important work can go on reaching more lives and strengthening our community.
With sincere gratitude.

PS. Your generosity made all this possible, and with your continued support, we can keep showing up for those who need us most.
Friday Night Lights Takes Over TCU
Sunday March 1, 2026, Como Lions Heart had the opportunity to take several of our Friday Night Lights participants and College Prep Workshop students to experience TCU Women’s Basketball game.
The energy inside the arena was electric, and we were proud to watch the TCU Horned Frogs women's basketball secure a big win. But beyond the scoreboard, this outing was about something even greater.
For many of our youth, this was more than just a game. It was exposure. It was vision. It was seeing what college looks like, feels like, and sounds like. It was stepping onto a university campus and realizing that higher education is not just something you hear about — it is something you can be a part of.
Through our Friday Night Lights program and College Prep Workshops, we are intentional about creating opportunities that connect our youth to college environments, leadership experiences, and positive role models. Moments like this help bridge the gap between where they are now and where they are capable of going.
We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow our students to dream bigger, see further, and understand that their future is within reach. Because exposure builds confidence. And confidence builds leaders.
CONGRATULATIONS TARIQ AND MILTON

CONGRATULATIONS TARIQ AND MILTON 〰️
The Como Lions Heart organization, along with the entire Lake Como community, proudly congratulates Milton Williams of the New England Patriots and Tariq Woolen of the Seattle Seahawks on competing in the Super Bowl.
Both athletes began their journey right here in Lake Como, Fort Worth, Texas—a community rich in history, resilience, and heart. Before the bright lights of the NFL, they were young athletes shaped by community, mentorship, discipline, and a belief that greatness can come from anywhere.
Milton and Tariq are more than professional football players—they are living proof of what is possible when youth are supported, encouraged, and given opportunity. Their success represents every practice, every coach, every parent, and every neighbor who poured into them along the way.
